Looking for some new reading material? Come to the Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society’s Winter Bookfest. The sale of used books will take place on Thursday, February 14, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday, February 15, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, February 16, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Winter Bookfest features eight popular categories of books. These include history, religion, children’s, fiction, biography, music, Mennonite, and more.
“It’s a good chance for book lovers to find some great used books and shake off the winter doldrums,” says coordinator Jon Weaver-Kreider.
Hardcover books will be sold for $3; paperbacks will sell for $1.50. The tables will be restocked with more books each day. There will be a selection of individually priced specialty books.
There will also be discounts on select new books in the book and museum store.
The Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society is located at 2215 Millstream Road, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, next to Tanger Outlets on Lincoln Highway East. Parking is available at the Society. The Winter Bookfest will take place snow or shine. This event is free and open to the public; no registration is required.
