Mennonite Life is excited to provide new content to amateur and experienced genealogists at the Family History Heyday all-virtual conference on Saturday, November 6, from 10:30 am to 2:15 pm.

  • Our keynote speaker, Dr. Michael D. Lacopo will present, “The German Immigrant Experience in the 18th Century.” Dr. Lacopo is a recognized expert in research involving Mennonite and Pennsylvania German families. He is proficient in reading German script.
  • Nathan Pease, Director of Library Services at Lancaster History, will offer a session on the features of Lancaster History’s new archives, library, and image search engine.
  • Kristin Wenger, professional genealogist, and educator at Legacy Tree Genealogists, will reveal tips on “Finding Our Female Ancestors: Research Strategies to Discover More about Women in Family History”. Networking opportunities are being developed as well.
