In 2012, the Society introduces special small-group discussion and research sessions in conjunction with the 33rd annual Lancaster Family History Conference. Each session will be held Friday, April 20 from 1:00–3:00 PM and costs $25. Please reserve early by contacting Peggy Erb at (717) 393-9745 or . Due to space restrictions, each session will be limited to 15 people. Priority will be given to conference participants.

  • Interpreting Genealogical DNA Test Results

    What new information can be gleaned from your genealogical DNA test results and what next steps can you take to enrich your family history? Participants who have lab results from a genealogical DNA test are invited to ask questions of Lancaster Family History Conference keynote speaker Darvin Martin and dig deeper into their data with a small group of peers.

    Please note: To attend this session you must submit the results of your genealogical DNA test to by March 31.

  • Genealogical Case Studies

    Benefit from—and contribute to—the experience of your peers in this special roundtable with genealogist James Beidler. Each participant will submit a thorny research problem for analysis and discussion. This session is recommended for genealogists working on an intermediate or advanced level.

  • Special Project Research Assistance

    Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society holds a significant collection of historical and genealogical materials pertaining to southeastern Pennsylvania with a special focus on Lancaster County. Get an intimate view of Historical Society collections with librarian and archivist Steve Ness. The Society will optimize your research time by finding family Bibles, surname folders and other resources in advance.
